How AGLC iGaming registration works
Per the official AGLC iGaming Application Guide, every operator who wants to take real-money bets from Alberta residents must complete a three-stage process with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission, then a commercial agreement with the Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC).
- Due Diligence — initial eligibility check with AGLC
- Compliance review — operational and technical standards
- Final registration + AiGC contract — signed commercial agreement before going live
As of May 2026, AGLC has not published a public list of approved iGaming operators. PlayAlberta — AGLC's own product — has been live since 2020. The other operators on this page have publicly stated intent to launch in Alberta and are widely reported to be in the AGLC registration process, but no formal launch dates have been announced.
What changes when an operator goes live?
Once we verify an operator is actively accepting Alberta residents (via direct sign-up test from an Alberta IP), we update their status here from Registering to Live. Their operator review page becomes a hands-on test report instead of a forward-looking expectations summary.
